A WWII Navigator's Conway Stewart Pen Unearthed

In September 1943, two B‑17 Flying Fortresses collided over the Essex countryside, killing 20 young American airmen. This pen, a symbol of wartime resilience and British craftsmanship, will soon be displayed at the RAF Hornchurch Heritage Centre, preserving a story of bravery and fleeting wartime bonds.

Queen Camilla Signs Historic Declaration with Conway Stewart

Queen Camilla’s swift signature at Stationers’ Hall on 15 July 2025 links today’s monarchy to a guild that has tended the written word since 1403. The Stationers’ Company, once candle‑lit scribes beside St Paul’s, later policed printing under a Tudor charter and rebuilt after the Great Fire. Now, as the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers, it trains new talent and preserves its rich archive, while fellow member Conway Stewart still crafts pens by hand—a living thread binding past and present.
