Agatha Christie’s Detection Club
In 1930, Agatha Christie, Britain’s queen of crime, picked up her fountain pen to craft puzzles that hooked a nation. Her 66 novels, like The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, spun...
The Winston Exmoor is a rich peaty brown, almost black in colour, flecked with bracken. It is very similar in colour to our Winston Dartmoor but more black. It is named after the other famous upland area of Devon in South West England.
It has a slight taper to the barrel end and a gently rounded cap top and weighs in at a hefty 66 grams – it is definitely a heavyweight pen!
The Winston range has to be filled using a bottle of ink as it has a captive converter. This means the blind end of the barrel unscrews to reveal a gold-plated knurled top which is turned to fill the pen with ink.
The Winston Exmoor is fitted with 9ct gold rings – a narrow ring on the barrel end, and a wider band at the nib section which is hall marked, while the cap features a pair of narrow gold rings for that extra touch of luxury.
The Conway Stewart Winston is a substantial pen that’s beautifully built and named in honour of Sir Winston Churchill.
The Conway Stewart Winston is the ideal choice if you prefer a large pen; one that stands out in a crowd, but which still stays true to the classic style and feel of a vintage Conway Stewart design.
If you would prefer a Cartridge/Converter version of the Winston, which is a lighter pen, then this can be ordered at no extra charge - see "Filling Mechanism" tab below for further details.
Each pen is housed in a Conway Stewart black leather presentation box which also serves as a showcase pen stand for your desk.
Pens are handmade to order, so please allow up to 28 days for delivery.
We can expedite orders if they are needed for a specific date, leave a note at checkout. See how here.
