Available with either a black or coral red acrylic body, Henry Simpole’s Teardrop Pens with Sterling Silver Overlay are exquisite examples of the silversmith’s art.
Drawing on the traditional teardrop or pear-shape design often used by great British designers like William Morris or Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Henry has created a sterling silver overlay that is simply sublime. The epitome of a bespoke British pen – and one we are delighted to offer on our website!
Stylish, elegant and tactile, fountain pens incorporating filigree silver overlays date back to the 1910s and here, with a design based on the traditional teardrop shape, this is a masterpiece. The Henry Simpole Teardrop Pen including Sterling Silver overlay is available in a choice of high density black or deep coral acrylic, and are sure to be admired whenever and wherever used.
These silver overlay pens were originally made as part of a collaboration with the American pen designer Bruno Corsini, which resulted in the Corsini-Simpole pen. Henry considers this silver overlay as one of his finest designs as it has simplicity and true beauty at the same time. Henry has now decided to launch the Henry Simpole Teardrop Pen including Sterling Silver overlay using the same overlay pattern but using a different base pen design with a cartridge/converter filling system.
