Jane Austen Pen

$580.00
DESCRIPTION

To commemorate the life of Jane Austen,  we have created a limited edition Writer’s Pen featuring symbols of her life to celebrate Jane’s literary genius. This is the second in the series of Writers Pens – the first being the Shakespeare Pen.

Handmade in England from sterling silver, and limited to an edition of 200, this is a smaller pen to the Shakespeare pen being only 129mm in length, and slimmer with a barrel diameter of 12mm so will suit a person that likes smaller pens.

The portrait of Jane Austen laser engraved into the silver cap top is an artist’s representation of the famous sketch by her sister Cassandra which can be seen at the National Portrait Gallery.

Around the cap band is a facsimile of Jane Austen’s autograph, and an edition number is engraved on the end of the barrel making each pen unique.

English hallmarks are stamped on the barrel showing the year date, and the traditional fineness mark for sterling silver – the English lion.

Available as a Fountain Pen or a Rollerball
The Jane Austen Bicentenary is available as a Fountain Pen or a Rollerball. The Fountain pen comes with a choice of Extra Fine, Fine, Medium or Broad 2-tone 18ct gold CS nibs. The Rollerball has a choice of Blue or Black ink, and Medium or Fine refill. If you buy the Fountain pen, you can also buy rollerball conversion kit that will convert the Jane Austen pen to a Rollerball. See the accessories section for more details.
