Welcome to Manuscript #4

I'm delighted to welcome you to this fourth edition of 'Manuscript', the official newsletter of Conway Stewart Pens, and hope you enjoy the contents as much as we have enjoyed putting it together.

Never Surrender!

This exclusive edition of 50 Churchill pens has been issued to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill’s death in 1965. Fittingly, each pen bears one of Churchill’s most inspirational quotes, "Never Surrender", engraved on the cap band - A simple but fitting tribute to a truly great Briton.

Distinctive, distinguished and larger than life!

The ever-popular Churchill is the most-fitting of the Conway Stewart models to be chosen to celebrate the great man’s life. Distinctive, distinguished and larger than life, what more could you expect from a pen that bears his name? In addition, each pen comes in an oversize Conway Stewart presentation box that was specially made to house the Churchill pen and includes a 200-page book of Churchill quotations and a special bottle of Conway Stewart green ink (Churchill’s favourite, apparently) which was produced exclusively for Conway Stewart by England’s oldest ink manufacturer.

Very Bespoke – and uniquely British!

We are currently working with Rolls Royce and have created a new prestige pen set (ball-pen, pencil and fountain pen) which is now available to all Rolls Royce owners.

The pens are in sterling silver with piano black bodies and have a unique, beautifully precision-engineered top. The sterling silver and enamelled 'RR' logo in the cap spins on ball bearings, so that at whatever angle you hold the pen, the RR logo is always vertical. The concept is based on the wheel discs of the Rolls Royce Phantom which remain upright even when the wheels are turning.

If you own a Rolls Royce and would like one of these new pens to go with your car, you can order them from your RR dealership or direct from the factory. More images in the next issue of Manuscript.

Rolls Royce pens from Bespoke British

Celebrating victory at Waterloo

Here's a new pen that's been very well received by CS collectors. The Wellington has a lovely shape and feel to it and when we discovered that we had just enough caps and barrels to make up an edition of 50 in this striking blue colour, it just had to be reserved for the Waterloo anniversary.

Limited to just 50 pens

To commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, Bespoke British Pens has produced a superb new limited edition fountain pen - The Conway Stewart Wellington model, naturally - in Prussian Blue acrylic, complemented with 18ct gold and gold-plated fittings.

The edition is limited to just 50 pens and each one will be accompanied by a special Certificate of Authenticity confirming the edition number. Each pen will be provided in a Conway Stewart black leather presentation box which may be converted to an elegant desk display stand.

For collectors who like to connect with British history, there's no finer tribute than this elegant Wellington pen. More than half the edition has already been snapped up, so you'll need to move quickly if you'd like to add one to your collection

It's a little beauty!

The Dandy has long been favoured by Conway Stewart collectors. Its smaller size belies its classic styling and good looks. A perfect ‘writing’ pen that sits easily in the hand. For those writing aficionados who don’t like the cartridge/converter ink option, the traditional lever-fill on this Dandy adds a true touch of nostalgia. As one of our customers enthused, "It's a little beauty!"

Another 'plus point' for the Dandy is that it takes the smaller Conway Stewart gold nib of which we hold plenty of stock. We currently have EF, IF, M, IM, B, IB, BB - so something to suit most writing styles.

We had sufficient stock to make up 50 Dandy Bronze of which 29 have been sold, so you will need to place your order quickly if you'd like to add one to your collection
