Welcome to our latest issue of Manuscript - the 11th newsletter from Bespoke British Pens - and as you might expect at this time of year there's not only a Christmas flavour, but also a review of 'The Best of 2016'.
Is there a Doctor in the house?
The cap and barrel have been engraved using using a genuine engine-turning machine that is almost 100 years old – but still in perfect working condition. It has produced a beautiful and traditional ‘basket-weave’ pattern that shimmers when it’s caught by light. Each pen is stamped by the Birmingham Assay office with full English hallmarks on the barrel to confirm the purity of the silver.
The top of the cap is engraved with ‘Doctor’s Pen – Made in England’ – a simple message that confirms its provenance and authenticity.
The perfect pen for Christmas
Long associated with the festive season, the bright and colourful poinsettia plant is a familiar sight in many homes during the winter months. The Conway Stewart Churchill Lawyer’s Pen has been designed and handcrafted in England exclusively for those in the legal profession in a limited edition of 100.
The Scales of Justice are engraved on the top of the cap while the edition number is engraved on the end of the barrel. The rich black acrylic has been engraved with a ‘barleycorn’ pattern on cap and barrel and further enhanced by sterling silver fittings. The single wide sterling silver cap band is stamped with English hallmarks proving its quality and purity. (Gold fittings can be requested as a special order – please contact us if this is required).
