Conway Stewart Fistral

Limited Edition

Conway Stewart Fistral Limited Edition

The Conway Stewart Fistral brings a stunning new look to our renowned Elegance Series of precious metal writing instruments. Named after ‘Fistral Beach’ which is located on the north coast of Cornwall, England, our craftsmen drew inspiration for the fluid pattern of the deep guilloche engraving from the waves which make Fistral Beach the UK’s leading surf beach and a venue for many international surfing competitions.

Lovingly crafted from English hallmarked solid sterling silver, the Fistral features hand applied enamel layered over the elegant guilloche engraving on the cap and barrel, giving emphasis and depth to the flowing pattern, representing both the power and grace of the Atlantic Ocean. The underlaying engraving shows through, leaving a design that is both refined and elegant, yet also eye catching under any light.

The art of enamel to decorate precious metal has been a much loved European tradition for many centuries. Conway Stewart prides itself in its working relationship with the best of English craftsmanship. The artist for our precious metal enamelled series is known for his creativity and design in jewellery, plaques and trophies.

Robert Glover M.A. RCA, has been published in numerous industry titles and is the recipient of many notable awards and presentations. His works include major television awards, the famous and iconic Brit-Awards trophy for the UK music industry, exclusive corporate and military presentations.

Glover’s previous commissions include: A large silver salver presentation to the chairman of Hyundai ship building company; Sculpted jewellery in 18 carat pink and green golds with coloured diamonds for a world famous singer and songwriter; Celebration goblets given to HRH Princess Grace of Monaco; A large silver gilt and enamelled plaque for the Cunard Flag Ship QE2; Silverware for Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II; Silverware celebrating HRH the Prince Charles’ and Princess Diana’s Royal wedding; Silverware for HM the Queen Mother’s birthday celebrations; Regimental silverware for the Parachute Regiment and the Brigade of Guards.

Our pens are hand crafted in Britain using only the finest materials. Over 233 individual steps are involved in the creation of one of our fine writing instruments. Our craftsmen pride themselves on the meticulous attention to detail from the selection of solid sterling silver rods, the application of enamel by hand, to the final hand polishing of each writing instrument.

The hallmarked solid sterling silver construction of cap, barrel and front section of the Fistral limited edition is set off with our popular 18carat gold nib, accented with rhodium plating, available in a choice of eight nib grades allowing the ideal choice for your individual handwriting style. Ink is delivered via the reliable converter cartridge system. Every attention to detail has been taken to ensure that the Fistral is not only a visually perfect pen, but one ideally suited for everyday use.

The Elegance model is crafted to be ergonomic in shape, slightly tapered and is a mid sized pen that rests perfectly in the hand, a perfect harmony of balance and elegance for ease of writing.

At Conway Stewart we take pride in creating English made luxurious and elegant pens, helping you make the right impression first time and every time.
