The Churchill Heritage Conway Stewart Collection

This is the first in the series of Conway Stewart Churchill Heritage pens produced in association with Churchill Heritage, through which the Churchill family distributes money to charities and good causes that keep alive the legacy of Sir Winston and the spirit of the words of wisdom he penned.

The famous Churchill quotes in the series include;-

  1. All Will Be Well
  2. Never Give In
  3. Action This Day
  4. KBO
  5. Victory At All Costs
  6. I am an Optimist

The first in the Heritage Series is “ALL WILL BE WELL”

“All will be well” was a very frequent Churchill saying. In South Africa in 1899-1900, the young Winston had picked up the Afrikaans phrase which translates “all will come right.” He used both phrases interchangeably because they expressed his sentiment. As he said at least once: “For myself I am an optimist—it does not seem to be much use being anything else…”

There are many other instances of “all will be well” during his lifetime. For example: “…live dangerously; take things as they come; dread naught, all will be well.”

Probably, the most famous use of the phrase was on 9 February 1941 in Churchill’s radio broadcast reply to Roosevelt, “Here is the answer which I will give to President Roosevelt: Put your confidence in us. Give us your faith and your blessing, and, under Providence, all will be well. We shall not fail or falter; we shall not weaken or tire. Neither the sudden shock of battle, nor the long-drawn trials of vigilance and exertion will wear us down. Give us the tools, and we will finish the job.”

This first pen in the Heritage Series is available in Classic Black and 9ct Gold trim

The “Pug” pen

Engraved on the top of the cap of all the Heritage pens is the iconic sketch of “Pug” that Winston penned on a letter to his wife Clementine dated 1st August 1909. There is also a facsimile of the letter hand written by Winston that accompanies every pen. Clementine called Winston “my sweet pug” and in turn he often drew little animated pictures of “pug” at the bottom of his letters to her. This one with the letter “W” above its head looks very similar to a bulldog that people often associate with the great man.

“ALL WILL BE WELL”

On the barrel of this pen is the words “ALL WILL BE WELL”, and underneath this is Winston S Churchill’s signature, and under that is the words “Made in Great Britain”.

A book “Good Advice from Winston Churchill”

A book called “All will be well – Good advice from Winston Churchill” is supplied with each pen listing 120 of his sayings; many are still as relevant today to live our lives as they were when penned by the famous man.

Winston Churchill’s Red Cabinet Box

Each pen comes in a replica of one of Winston Churchill’s Red Cabinet Box – these are the brief cases used by ministers of the British Government to carry official papers. On the lid is another of one of his famous quotes “I have always earned my living by my pen”. Inside the box is a foam insert holding a copy of the book “All Will Be Well” containing many of his famous quotes, and a bottle of green ink. Also included is a facsimile of Churchill’s 1909 letter to his wife showing his actual handwriting and his sketch of the “Pug”.

Limited Edition of 100 pens world-wide

Only 100 pens will be made of each of the quotes in the series, and each pen comes with a certificate detailing the edition number.
